Shengjun Jin
Shengjun Jin is a PhD student at School of Journalism and Communication, Renmin University of China, and a guest researcher affiliated to ASCA, University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the localized imagination of cultural commonality in cross-cultural communication, with concurrent interests in fashion culture, platform popular culture, and media technology studies. During doctoral research period, he published over ten papers on topics such as The Adjustment and Enchantment of Cultural Identities in Cross-Cultural Communication—Taking Festival Cultural Practices of Confucius Institutes as Examples and Mediating Construction of Internet-celebrity Cities in Online Pictures. He was the recipient of the National Scholarship awarded by MOE of PRC and was supported by the National Scholarship of CSC as a visiting PhD student.
