Yvette Lok Yee Wong is a researcher at the University of Amsterdam. She received her MPhil from the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017, later her PhD from Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis at UvA. Her PhD project builds on her Master’s project to investigate literary youth in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. Next to her academic work, she is a pop lyricist, writer and cultural worker in Hong Kong herself. She has published pop lyrics since 2014. Her writings are published on Ming Pao, Zihua, City Magazine and Hong Kong Literature House.
